The GP-Simulator application calculates IQ data in real-time and streams it through USB to the connected SDR USRP B210. This SDR has a small data buffer. When the buffer runs out of data and new data has not yet arrived, the SDR generates an error: -1074118645.

For this application, it's crucial to ensure continuous data transmission; otherwise, the simulated time will be inaccurate. Since the Windows operating system is not a real-time operating system, the following issues can cause this error:

  1. You have connected the USRP to a USB 2.0 instead of 3.0, and the bus lacks the speed to transmit data in real-time.
  2. Running multiple applications, antivirus software, and firewalls can load the CPU, hindering the GP-Simulator application's real-time operation. It's recommended to close all unnecessary background processes while working with the application.
  3. The Google Chrome browser often contributes to this error. Although the reason is unclear, the general recommendation is not to use the browser while operating the application.
