All GP-Cloud connection and network settings are made in the Web Configuration Panel under "admin" in the "Connection Config" section:
1. GP-Cloud Server Section
URL & Port
GP-Cloud can be deployed on your server or you can utilize our cloud. So, in the "GP-Cloud" section, specify the IP address of your server or the URL of our cloud.
The default port is 443.
API Password
In the API password field, enter the password you used when registering the probe in the cloud:
Hope you can recall it :-)
Caution! If you do not enter an API password, no data will be updated when you click on "Apply". To update URL or port you need to specify the password.
2. Server Connection Interface
The GP-Probe TGE2 is capable of streaming data to the server using either an Ethernet or 4G interface.
If you change the interface, the device will need to reboot.
If you're using a built-in 4G modem, please consider the following USIM card requirements:
- Ensure you have an active internet connection and sufficient balance.
- Make sure the PIN code is disabled.
Please note that when selecting your data plan, be aware that the GP-Probe TGE2 utilizes approximately 8 gigabytes of data every month. Take this into consideration.
3. LAN Settings
This section is typical for LAN setup.
Once the new settings are applied, the Configuration Panel connection will be lost. You must log in again using a fresh IP address.
MAC can not be altered.
4. 3G/4G Settings
In most cases, there is no need for configuration in this section, but it depends on the 3/4G service provider you use.
4. Connection Quality Monitoring
Once the device is properly configured, the status of the probe will change from "Offline" to a different state such as "Normal", "Low Position Accuracy", or "Jamming".
You can assess the quality of the data channel by monitoring the number of messages in the queue as well as message transmit/receive time:
The internal clock can only be synchronized when connected to the cloud.
