Resetting your GP-Probe device can be necessary if you've forgotten the password to the web configuration panel or need to configure the device to use a static IP address. The instructions below cover how to reset two models of GP-Probe: TGE2 and DIN L1.
What Gets Reset?
Resetting the probe restores certain settings to factory defaults:
- IP type: static
- IP address: 192.168.0.120
- Username/Password: user/user and admin/admin
Please note that access settings for GP-Cloud and LUA script configurations will not be affected by this reset.
GP-Probe TGE2 Reset Instructions
Step 1: Disconnect the GP-Probe TGE2 from the power source.
Step 2: Press and hold the button on the front panel.
Step 3: While holding the button, reconnect the power supply to the device.
Step 4: Continue to hold the button for five seconds until the message "Are you sure you want to reset settings?" appears on the screen:
Step 5: Release the button, then press and hold it again for another five seconds.
Once these steps are completed, the GP-Probe TGE2 will have been reset to the default settings.
GP-Probe DIN L1 Reset Instructions
Step 1: Disconnect the GP-Probe DIN L1 from the power source.
Step 2: Press and hold the "right" button located on the front panel.
Step 3: While holding the "right" button, reconnect the power supply to the device.
Step 4: Continue to hold the "right" button for five seconds until the message "Are you sure you want to reset settings?" appears on the screen:
Step 5: Release the button, then press and hold it again for another five seconds.
Following these steps will reset the GP-Probe DIN L1 to its factory default settings.
Post-Reset Steps
After resetting your device, you can access the web configuration panel using the default usernames and passwords provided. It is recommended to change these default credentials to ensure the security of your device.
