- Register on the EARTHDATA portal to download ephemeris files at urs.earthdata.nasa.gov
- Install the app with all supporting software and drivers. Follow the guide.
- Activate the license for the NI GNSS Toolkit. Follow the guide.

GP-Simulator First Launch
When you run the software for the first time, you will see a no license error:
You have to activate your license. Follow this link to find out how.
UBLOX Configuration
The UBLOX receiver is connected via USB with COM port simulation. To understand which COM port number to choose, go to the Device Manager and find the entry "u-blox GNSS Receiver (COMX)":
If you don't see such an entry, follow the link.
Set the correct COM port in the app:
If everything is done correctly you will see information about visible satellites and the current time in UTC format. If something goes wrong, you will see an error message.
Time Simulation Mode
Set the Time Simulation Mode to "Real time", Simulator Start Mode to "Asynchronous", enter EARTHDATA user ID and password, and hit the button "Download Almanac and Ephemeris":
Hardware Configuration
Complete the settings as shown in the picture:
If you have configured the USRP correctly, the "Opened" and "GPS Locked" indicators will be active. Remember the minimum power available.
Starting Generation
Set the minimum possible power to avoid accidental spoofing if you do not connect a load or terminator to the USRP output. Hit the "Start Scenario: button. If you have done everything correctly, the "Generation" indicator will be active and you will see the "GENERATION STARTED" message in the log:
